Summary of the Post:
Under the supervision of the head of the Communication for Development Unit (C4D), the incumbent is responsible for project design, implementation, evaluation, data analysis and progress reporting of “Health & Nutrition Education for behavior change” within Child Survival and Development (CSD) Programme.

Major duties and Responsibilities:
1. Undertake ongoing visits to project sites, assess local conditions and resources, and monitor UNICEF inputs. Communicate with local counterpart authorities on project feasibility and effectiveness including monitoring the flow of supply and non-supply assistance.
2. Collect and analyze data for Situation Analysis and for the “Health & Nutrition Education for behavior change” project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation purposes. Analyze project implementation reports and evaluate against established programme recommendations and plans of action. Prepare tables, graphs and other statistical data. Report outcome of analysis and propose corrective action.
3. Undertake follow-up action on project implementation activities and prepare relevant reports. Draft changes in project plan of actions as required.
4. Assist in identification and selection of technical supplies and equipment.
5. Assist in the project management by drafting all relevant documentation in ProMS, ensuring accuracy and consistency with established rules and regulations, and submit relevant reports.
6. Evaluate and analyze financial and supply reports to ensure appropriateness of documentation, expenditures are within allotments, data is consistent with PIDB. Report to Supervisor and/or Head of Office outcome of review.
7. Assist C4D unit in implementing and monitoring programme communication activities in the CSD and PCFP Annual Work Plan.
8. Draft relevant sections of reports (required for donors, management, annual reports, etc.)
9. Attend technical co-operation meetings on Health Education at household level, prepare notes and undertake follow-up action related to project implementation and monitoring.
10. Select and compile training and orientation materials related to project implementation including information kits for donor and media visits.

Qualifications:
- University Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Communication, Development or relevant fields
- Two (2) years progressively responsible professional work experience in programme design, administration, monitoring and evaluation in Health Education, Public Awareness and Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) campaigns. Relevant work experience in public health.
- Communication, analytical and training skills.
- Good knowledge of computer management and applications.
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese required
- Computer skills, including internet navigation, and various office applications
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organizationExcellent knowledge of English and Vietnamese.
