ICT Administrator

SNV - Netherlands Development Organisation is a Non-Governmental Organisation working in Vietnam since 1995. SNV supports local organisations (state and non-state) in poverty reduction, mostly at the meso level, through a combination of advisory, knowledge brokering and advocacy services. SNV Vietnam invests in different programs, i.e. Value Chains, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation, Renewable Energy/Biogas, Pro-poor Sustainable Tourism, Pro-poor Forest, Inclusive Business and Climate Change (CC).

SNV is looking for a dynamic and creative Vietnamese candidate to fill in the post of: ICT Administrator
Duty station:  Country office in Hanoi

Main duties and responsibilities:
The ICT Administrator will provide support for country office in Hanoi of about 40 desktop and laptop users. The main tasks are:
- Oversee network and server  and ensure data is backed up on a regular basis
- Oversee computer security and anti-virus updates etc
- Carry out computer "housekeeping" tasks and liaise with regional ICT and ICT helpdesk in Europe
- Provide IT support to computer users within the office and log all IT problems & resolutions
- First port of call and initial troubleshoot of IT problems and resolve if possible
- Oversee file management on centralised resource (e.g. server) or on individual workstations
- Induct new staff on IT systems
- Keep inventory of hardware and maintenance records and ensure all (server) software is properly licensed
- Provide input into IT strategy and annual IT budget
- Input into ICT related one-off projects (small databases etc) and into IT acceptable use policy development
- Keep abreast of IT technology, maintain library of information
- Support IT for SNV Hue office

Requirements
University degree, majoring in Information Technology: Microsoft Certified Engineer( MSCE)/ Cisco Certified Engineer (CCNA)/ LPI and ECDL/ ICDL training
Required technical backgrounds are:
- Microsoft desktop operating systems (windows xp and windows 7) & Microsoft office 2003 and later
- Microsoft server products (2003/ 2008 R2 and services DHCP/ WSUS)
- Local area networks (tcp/ ip v4/ v6, cabling)
- Internet security/ firewall configuration and management- Fortigate
- Backup solution EMC Retrospect backup
- Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience
- Initiative and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills (both English and Vietnamese)
- Service oriented and good team player
- Good organizing  and interpersonal skills

Duration of assignment
SNV offers a one-year contract with the possibility of extension and a competitive salary package.
