Intern for Alive & Thrive project

Alive & Thrive (A&T), a multi-year initiative (2009-2013) aimed at improving the nutritional status of infants and young children, is led by the Academy for Educational Development and in Viet Nam is being implemented through a joint partnership with Save the Children, GMMB, the International Food Policy Research Institute & the University of California, Davis.  The initiative will contribute significantly to the Government of Viet Nam’s (GoV) priorities and accelerate ongoing efforts to reduce stunting.  The initiative will also create synergies with other stakeholders such as the Viet Nam Women’s Union, UN agencies, other international and local non-government organizations and the private for-profit sector. While aiming to impact nutritional status in all 63 provinces, more intensive capacity building/provincial planning activities will be undertaken in 15 areas (10 rural provinces and 5 cities).
They are looking for a Vietnamese candidate for the position of Intern for Alive & Thrive project. The successful candidate will be based in Hanoi.

Job Purpose
The Intern will work under supervision of Deputy Director to assist A&T team in daily activities and give logical supports for effective implementation of activities in Hanoi.

Key Competencies 
- English Degree, experience in translating and interpreting
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese is essential
- Ability to work independently as well as high team working spirit
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ect…
- Interested in working for INGOs.
