Japan-Funded Woman Shoes Plant Put into Operation in North Vietnam

The Vietnam Mode International Ltd. Co. (Vinamode) has opened a woman fashion shoes plant that is capitalized $3.3 million and funded by Japan’s LPD Ltd. Co. at the Trang Due industrial park in Haiphong city. The wholly foreign-owned plant will be specialized in producing woman fashion shoes and leather products for exports, the Dau Tu newspaper reported Mar. 8.  The plant is scheduled to make revenues of $9 million annually and create jobs for 1,000 laborers.
