Japan Funds $42M to Build Solid Waste Treatment Complex in Vietnam

The government of Japan has provided $42 million in ODA for Vietnam to build a solid waste treatment complex in the northern coastal city of Haiphong. The complex will be built on 64.8 hectares, including one hectare for a dumpsite that meets Japan’s Fukuoka standards, the Thoi Bao Kinh Te newspaper reported. The city will contribute VND232 billion ($13 million) of reciprocal capital to the project.
