JBIC to Fund $2.15M for Vietnam Infrastructure Project

Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) will provide a loan of $2.15 million for a bridge project in central Vietnam, the Quan doi Nhan dan newspaper reported Jan. 6. The 860-meter long bridge, which will connect Amaron and Kdam communes in La Pa district in the central highlands province of Gia Lai, costs VND49.7 billion.  Local authorities are carrying out necessary procedures to start the construction of bridge this month. Gia Lai province has licensed 150 projects valued at VND35 trillion since 2005.
