Microfinance Specialist

Terre des hommes Schweiz, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour Invalids and Social Affairs and the Vietnam central Women’s Union, is seeking a national Microfinance Specialist to conduct a review of two savings and credit projects managed by the Women’s Unions in Thanh Hoa and Ben Tre provinces.  This review will assess the degree to which the project stakeholders have implemented selected recommendations proposed by an evaluation of the programme at the beginning of 2009.  The review will be conducted towards the end of October 2009 and the successful candidate will prepare a draft report in advance of a visit to Vietnam of tdh-ch staff in the last two weeks of November 2009.  A detailed TOR is attached to this document.  The successful candidate will have proven technical and operational expertise of microfinance initiatives in Vietnam in general, and of projects that have applied Grameen Bank methods in particular.
