Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator (Re-advertised)

MONITORING AND EVALUATION (M&E) COORDINATOR (Re-advertised):

The M&E Coordinator plays a key role in PSI’s Monitoring and Evaluation systems. Information and reports generated from MIS data is utilized in regular program monitoring, tracking results against targets and previous years, development of projections, and donor reporting. This position will work under supervision and support from M&E Manager. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Through the use of M&E system developed by PSI, regularly update data and information related to the implementation of PSI/VN programs. In addition to this, perform analyses required for the monitoring and program decision making. From these analyses, monitor the status of the programs’ implementation, identify in most timely manner arising problems, and provide programmatic and strategic information for managers, field staff, and donors;
- Work closely with MIS Officers to ensure efficient collection of data and information from the activity level to feed into program management and donor reports;
- Regularly conduct field visit to monitor and supervise project activities and data collection processes;
- Participate in building capacity for the staff and partners in head office and in the field in M&E;
- At some instances will provide technical oversight and guidance to implementing agencies to ensure sub-projects follow M&E work plan, meet technical requirements, and complete deliverables in accordance with subproject agreements and budgets;
- Continuously improve the utility and implementation of M&E and MIS based M&E, working with consultants and partners where necessary.

Requirements:
- Relevant University degree; Fluent in written and spoken English;
- Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of position responsibilities;
- Programming skills in Access, pivot tables, and relevant software packages;
- Analytical thinking skills a must
- Ability to present information in new and enlightening ways
- Initiative and creativity in solving problems; ability to work well under pressure.
