Nokia Vietnam Grants $15,000 to Install Dustbins in HCM City

Nokia Vietnam, a unit of the world’s biggest mobile phone maker of Nokia, donated $15,000 for Ho Chi Minh City Urban Environment Company to install 290 public dustbins in the city Feb. 9. Nokia Vietnam has gotten the money from a program entitled Mobile Phone Recycle - Environmental Protection, which was held in the second half of 2009, the website sgtt.com.vn reported Feb. 10. The company has collected 7,363 old mobile phones and 9,222 phone components including batteries, chargers and headphones during the period. It then sent the phones to Singapore, in which its partner of Tes - Amm recycled them.
