O2TV’s Series on Cervical Cancer As Part of its “Defeat Cancer” Programming

PATH have some exciting information about continuing and upcoming television programming on O2TV—Vietnam’s cable television channel that focuses on health issues. Currently, O2TV is hosting “Defeat Cancer” programming in concert with the National Program on Cancer Prevention and the National Cancer Hospital and with technical support from PATH. The program is now focusing on cervical cancer with such themes as: cervical cancer causes, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care, and monitoring.
O2TV’s cervical cancer programming began in late September with five broadcasted programs. Two on-going and upcoming programs are “Dialogue on HPV vaccine” and “Experience on Cervical Cancer Prevention in the world”.
“Dialogue on HPV vaccine”—a talk show featuring national experts on cervical cancer—introduce the HPV vaccine as a new method of preventing cervical cancer with the participationi of Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Tran Hien from the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and Dr. Luu Thi Hong from the Department of Maternal and Child Health, Ministry of Health.
“Experience on Cervical Cancer Prevention in the world” is a BBC-produced documentary showcasing ongoing cervical cancer prevention efforts in Uganda, drawing largely from PATH cervical cancer prevention programming.
