Plan, World Vision to Grant $1.1M More to Support Vietnam Flood Victims

Plan in Vietnam and World Vision Vietnam will jointly give more relief of $1.1 million to a project to support 56,000 victims in central Vietnam hit by typhoon Ketsana from now to June, state media reported Jan. 12. The six-month project aims to help the victims in Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces improve their lives and increase their disaster response capacity.  The project will also provide children there with learning kits, repair their classrooms and buy desks and chairs.  The affected families will be assisted with basic construction materials, seeds, fertilizer and livestock.
