Programme Coordinator

The “Integrated Nutrition and Food Security Strategies for Children and Vulnerable Groups in Viet Nam” is a three-year programme (2010-2012) that supports the Government of Viet Nam in addressing the continuing prevalence of malnutrition among the most vulnerable and in preventing future malnutrition.
It will be implemented until 2012 to achieve the following objectives: include improving the monitoring of food security, nutrition and health; improving the capacity to deliver nutrition interventions  including  improved infant and young child feeding and the promotion of breastfeeding; and ensuring adequate intakes of iron, vitamin A and iodine supplementation; the appropriate care of the malnourished children; and improving food security by increasing homestead food production and linking this to the increased consumption of a variety of safe, good quality food.
The Joint Programme of Nutrition is looking for qualified consultant to assist the Programme Management Unit (PMU) of Ministery of Health (MOH) in planning, monitoring, supervising and coordinating programme activities and reporting regular progress of the programme to supporting UN agencies and line departments and ministries.

UN cost norm will be applied on monthly payment rate based on candidate's working experience.
