Programme Coordinator for Education Programme

The post is offered on an open-ended contract, based in Hanoi

The Role: To develop and manage Oxfam GB's Programme on Education in Vietnam. This programme aims at: i) improving access to education and ii) improving quality of education for disadvantaged children, especially girls and ethnic minorities, iii) supporting effective governance in the education sector.

Reports to: Country Director
Staff reporting to the post: Programme Officer (2), Programme Assistant (1)

The requirements:
- Proven experience in development of programme strategic planning.
- Sound experience in programme management, including participatory approaches.
- Good understanding of issues on education in Vietnam.
- Good understanding and practical experience in application of equity issues (Gender and diversity).
- Experience in policy M&E and advocacy work in Vietnam context.
- Sound experience in working with partners, including government and non-government organizations.
- Good leadership and management skills, experience in resource management e.g. people, finances, assets.
- University degree, preferably in education, social science or/and management.
- Strong written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
- Good computer skills.
- Able to travel to programme/project areas on a regular basis.

Gross Annual Salary Range:            US$ 19,500 – US$ 27,500
