Programme Support Officer for Emergencies

Save the Children in Vietnam (SC) works to promote every child’s rights to survival, protection, participation and development as set forth in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Vacancy: Programme Support Officer on Emergencies
Based in Hanoi

They are looking for a qualified Vietnamese National for the position of Programme Support Officer for Emergencies Team based in Hanoi with frequent travels to provinces.

Main Responsibilities:
Programme Support Officer is responsible to support implementation of emergencies projects, particularly on project planning, financial, administrative management and procedures. The responsibilities include supporting the local partners to implement projects in compliance with Save the Children regulations and government’s law.

Key Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, financial management, social development or related fields.
- Good knowledge in financial management and accounting.
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in project management in related field.
- Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment. Work independently, focused on maintaining high quality work.
- Experience in successful implementation of a wide range of tasks within a project environment to tight timeframes and under pressure.
- Effectiveness in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization of NGOs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
- Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods
- Experience in emergency project management with NGOs and working in rural development areas are desirable.
