Project Assistant – Sponsorship Relation
World Vision Vietnam (WVV) invites competent Vietnamese candidates for the position: Project Assistant – Sponsorship Relation (1 position) based in Bac Binh District, Binh Thuan Province.
Area Development Program (ADP) is an approach to child focused development, emphasizing the process of community participation, sustainability, and integrating activities in the areas of food security, agriculture, micro-enterprise, health, nutrition, education, water, and sanitation.
Main Responsibilities:
The position supports WV Vietnam build and enhance Sponsorship Service Operations focusing on the transformation of sponsors, registered children, their families, and communities through collaborating with local sponsorship volunteers in planning and implementing activities of the Child Sponsorship Management Project.
The position assists the ADP Manager in maintaining efficient and effective Sponsorship Service Operations, Sponsorship programming and Child Monitoring (according to STEP).
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Required:
The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on the job training:
- University graduate in any field (preferably in the field of Community Development, Social Works, or English).
- Computer literacy, particularly use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
- Willingness and ability to train sponsorship volunteers.
- Good interpersonal skills, especially with rural children and grassroots people.
- Ability to function well in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel outside as required by the assignment.
- Experience in working with NGOs or a good understanding of community development is helpful.
- Commitment to work with and learn from the poor and marginalized people, especially children.
