Vacancy:  Project Assistant – HIV/AIDS   
Based in Haiphong

Job Purpose
They are now seeking a qualified Vietnamese national to fill in the position of Project Assistant (PA) for Vocational Training Schools Project to assist Project Officer in providing technical support to project activities in Haiphong.

Key accountabilities
The Project Assistant will be responsible for providing direct support to Master Trainers and Peer Educators in vocational training schools in Haiphong to implement and monitor project activities. Particular emphasis will be on supportive supervision to the Peer Educators related to club and outreach activities.

Person specification
- Vietnamese national
- BA Degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., social sciences.
- At least 1-2 years experience implementing and monitoring HIV prevention for young people.
- Previous working experience in progressive, youth-centered approaches to HIV prevention highly desirable.
- Proven capacity to build and maintain effective partnerships with provincial and local partners.
- Ability to work, make decisions and co-ordinate in a team-orientated, consultative manner across multiple programme/thematic sectors.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Proven budget management skills and experience.
- English language skills.
- Good computing skills (word processing, spread sheets, email).
