Project Marketing Assistant
WWF, one of the world's largest independent conservation organizations, has a global network active in 100 countries. From its Greater Mekong Programme Office in Hanoi, WWF manages a wide array of conservation projects in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Thailand in the forest, freshwater, marine/coastal and species priority areas.
WWF Vietnam Country Programme is seeking an experienced and qualified national candidate to fill in a position of PROJECT MARKETING ASSISTANT working full time for a WWF project in Hanoi city and frequently travel to Central provinces, Vietnam.
Position: PROJECT MARKETING ASSISTANT
Major duties and responsible:
The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager and its team in the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the EC supported project activities “Establishing a Sustainable Production System for Rattan Products in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam” as well as coordination with IKEA. The focus of the work is on marketing development and coordination with project partners to support market link information. Project activities will involve regular trips to remote field locations to support the field surveys, workshops and meetings.
The main qualifications required:
- A degree or diploma in a field related to marketing, business or office administration and finance.
- Additional courses on project management and business and marketing are an advantage
- Fluent English both in writing and speaking
- Minimum 3 years experience on project administration and management;
- Experience working with private sector and SMEs is an advantage, working with communities
- Proven experience of working with communities
- Willingness to travel to remote locations, and work in two-three provinces.
- Willingness to learn new experiences
- Good team spirit and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Vietnamese ethnic minorities’ culture in the project area and local resident is preferable
- Independent, good interpersonal skills, patient and participatory approach
- Good facilitator and communicator
- Computer (Word, Excel, Internet, Email)
Duty Station: WWF Hanoi Office with regular travel to field sites and companies in other provinces.
