Project Officer

The Center for Public Health and Community Development (CEPHAD), a local Vietnamese NGO, a non-profit organisation. We were established in June 1995 by a group of enthusiastic and experienced people in the fields of health, education and social activities. CEPHAD mission is to contribute to national socio-economic development, to improve health service provision, to prevent HIV/AIDS, Community Development  and to help Vietnam meet its Millennium Goals. It has extensive health and community development experience specialising especially on the capacity building of local partners and good relationship with local authorities.
CEPHAD target populations are the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people including vulnerable women and children, ethnic minority groups, people living with HIV/AIDS, street children and migrant workers and etc.

CEPHAD is looking for a qualified and dynamic Vietnamese for the position of project officer of community development.

Major duties:
- Based on Project Proposal and the Pos quarterly plan develop monthly project plan and budget (including field visits)
- Monitor and record progress against this (and proposal plans) and proposal indicators.
- Look for and use opportunities to collect report  and PR information e.g. photos, film and quotations.
- Provide technical support to project field staff. (initially this will be extensive but the task is also to increase local capacity and reduce CEPHAD involvement)
- Anything else as assigned (or as necessary within remit to meet objectives).

Desired qualifications are:
1. Bachelor degree on public health, community development, social work or related disciplines
2. Have commitment and caring and respectful attitude to beneficiaries and especially vulnerable and often stigmatised groups
3. Good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
4. Good analytical and writing skills
5. Can work independently without supervision
6. Can drive
7. Willingness to travel
8. Have capability in written and spoken English
9. Computer literate in Word and Excel
