Project Officer

The Non-communicable Disease (NCD) program (including 4 diseases such as cardiovascular, diabetes, cancers and mental disorders) of Vietnam is funded by Atlantic Philanthropies through Menzies Research Institute (Australia) to establish surveillance system on NCD. The program is seeking qualified and experienced Vietnamese candidate to work full-time for the position: project officer

Duties and responsibilities:
1. Developing action plan to implement the project, policy/strategies for the NCD program
2. Participate on monitoring and evaluating activities of NCD program.
3. Write progress reports, report results of NCD Prevention Program.
4. Some of the field work will be undertaken alone so ability to work independently is important.

Requirements:
- University degree of Medical Doctor or Public Health (Priority to Master and/or PhD degree in Public Health).
- Good knowledge on IT and statistical package such as EPIINFO, SPSS or STATA.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work with a minimum of supervision, work under pressure.
- Willingness and capacity to travel in country.
- Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese.

Salary:  800USD-1000USD

Location: Working at NCD office of The Medical Service Administration, Ministry of Health.
