Save the Children in Vietnam (SC) works to promote every child’s rights to survival, protection, participation and development as set forth in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The current programme focuses on the following core sectors: Health and Nutrition; HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support; Education; Child protection; Child-focused emergency preparedness and response; Child rights agenda, including Child Development, Civil society development, Economic opportunities, Child poverty Research, and Advocacy for child-friendly development policy and practice.

Vacancy: Project Officer on Inclusive Education
Based in Hanoi

They are looking for a qualified Vietnamese candidate to work as Project Officer for Inclusive Education Project implemented in Bac Kan province.

Main Responsibilities
Project Officer is responsible for ensuring effective project implementation and achieving project objectives. The responsibilities include project planning, implementation, monitoring and follow-up, including progress and financial management.

Key Competencies
- University degree or equivalent in education, social sciences or other relevant substantial field experiences.
- Experience/knowledge on inclusive education is essential.
- At least 3 years experience in education project implementation, preferably in international organizations, INGOs and/or bilateral organization. Experience working with multi-donor project is an asset.
- Good training and facilitation skills
- Proven track record developing and managing budgets
- Good interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision within a team. High team work spirit.
- Ability to organise and coordinate complex activities within interrelated schedules and timelines, to demonstrate sound judgment, task orientation.
- Excellent English and Vietnamese written and oral communication skills.
- Good communications and liaison skills
- Commitment to Convention of the Right of the Child.
- Political awareness.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods.
