Psycho Social Project Officer

Handicap International France (HI F) is a non-governmental organisation created in 1982. HI mission is to assist people in situations of disability or vulnerability, whatever may be the underlying cause and environment. This is done through the implementation of multidisciplinary programmes concerning prevention, treatment, empowerment, integration and emergency intervention.
HI has worked in Vietnam since 2001 and is developing projects targeting people living with disabilities, extremely vulnerable persons and persons living with HIV or AIDS.

HI is seeking for a candidate willing to integrate and participate in our project and team as a: Psycho social Project Officer
Based in Dong Ha, Quang Tr? province

Responsibilities:
- Defend and Carry out HI position and mandate on HIV/AIDS within the partnership with Quang Tri Provincial HIV/AIDS Center Prevention (PHPC), DoH and other partners;
- Monitor and support Yeu Thuong club members (PLwHIV) in their activities (in group and individual);
- Build the capacity of Yeu Thuong (YT) members and PHPC staff related to the management of a Self Help Group;
- Advice Health partners and others on the mandate and mission of HI in order to insure the good implementation of the component of our project;
- Participate in meetings, seminars and conferences relevant to the HIV Self Health Group;
- Ensure the reporting of the activities, meetings of YT club in collaboration with YT management team members;
- Participate in report writing –mid-term reports, annual reports and donor reports;
- Follow the budget lines of the activities.

Requirements:
- At least 3 years of a psycho social professional experience
- Experience in working with HIV Self Help Group
- Good working knowledge or experience of HIV/AIDS with emphasis on support for People Living with HIV
- Experience in report writing and budget monitoring
- Computer literate
- Able to work efficiently and effectively with minimum supervision
Initial contract will be for a period of one year.
