The role: As part of the WASH intervention, to safeguard and improve the public health of the affected population by:
- promoting safe WASH practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services;
- ensuring appropriate community involvement in the design and delivery of essential WASH services and facilities;
- ensuring effective coordination and integration of Hygiene Promotion activities with the delivery of water and sanitation services and facilities.

Reports to: Project Manager, Typhoon Ketsana Emergency Response Project in Kon Tum
Staff reporting to the post: Public Health Facilitator, Village Health Volunteers, Field Volunteers

The requirements:
- Vietnamese National
- University graduate in any related discipline ( public health preferred)
- At least 4 years of practical experience in appropriate community development programmes in different contexts. 
- Experience and understanding of Hygiene Promotion and community mobilisation in relation to water and sanitation activities
- Experiences in developing training materials, organising and facilitating training  sessions
- Humanitarian experience will be an asset.
- Understanding of gender issues in development and demonstrable commitment to promoting gender equality.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Vietnamese
- Willingness to live in district town.

Gross Annual Salary Range: US$ 13,100 – US$ 17,500
Benefits: The position is offered a Hard to work allowance which is 20% in addition to basic salary; per-diem equivalent to VND 5,000,000/month; and home return fares every 2 completed months of service.
