Regional PR/Communication Officer

SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is an international NGO that delivers advisory services to over 2,000 clients in 32 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Balkans. In Asia, SNV provides capacity development services to government, non-government as well as private sector organisations in Nepal, Vietnam, Bhutan, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Pakistan. Our 140 advisers in Asia work with local capacity builders and local actors, primarily those who operate at sub-national levels, to realise poverty reduction and good governance. With the objective of advancing SNV’s image and profile, we wish to recruit a Regional PR/Communication Officer.

The Regional PR/Communication officer will be responsible for the fine-tuning and implementation of the communication strategy in the region. A strong external orientation supporting a wider effort of SNV Asia in stakeholder engagement will be crucial.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in managing and delivering marketing and communication strategies and have significant experience in working at a strategic level. You will also need to be customer focused, an excellent communicator both written and verbal, and have previous experience working in the international development context. You will be a native English speaker.

Contract term:
SNV offers a 1 year national contract with the possibility of extension based on performance, and a salary scale 16, ranging from around USD 1,618 to USD 2,444 plus competitive secondary benefit package.
