Position title:         Resource Development Manager for Corporations and Foundations
Workplace:            Habitat for Humanity International – Vietnam (HFHI-V) (HCMC Office or Hanoi Office)
Reports to:            Country Director and in coordination with the Strategic Partnership & Advocacy Manager

Relates to:             Coordinates with HFHI-V Marketing and Volunteer Management. Program Management and with HFHI/Asia Pacific Area RD and its Global Collaboration Network
Desired Start Date:  March 1, 2010

The Resource Development Manager (RDM) for Corporations and Foundations is responsible for developing resource mobilization strategies to support for HFHI-V’s mission. The RDM will develop specific activities and involve volunteers, donors and others, as required, to help build HFHI-V. Through networking, event planning, presentations, proposal writing, influencing and negotiation, the RDM will secure resources for HFHI-V, primarily via corporations and foundations.

Key areas of responsibilities:
- Develop a strategy with clear deliverables for acquiring resources from international and national corporations and foundations
- Represent HFHI-V to its supporters, locally, regionally and internationally
- Develop and submit proposals, alongside appropriate HFHI-V staff, to donors
- Ensure donor reports are submitted in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop & maintain relationships with local, regional and international organizations
- Conceptualize, execute and manage special fund raising and advocacy events either as an   HFHI-V initiative or in collaboration with partners
- Support partners’, including donors, government officials, NGOs and journalists, visits to the project sites
- Coordinate regularly with program, finance and administration team leaders and perform any other tasks as agreed for overall operational needs
- Develop and manage a database of current and potential donors in terms of funding preferences and priorities
- Improve the brand awareness of HFHI-V by developing and communicating key information about the country’s programs to relevant audiences, domestically and world-wide, when necessary
- Support Directors and other staff, as necessary, in the development and distribution of the annual report, which includes annual financial and program audits as well as program impact data
- Prepare information and articles for donors and HFHI communication updates and press releases

Applicant Requirements:
- Passion for working with and on behalf of people affected by poverty 
- University Degree in Marketing, Communications, Non-for-Profit Management or related fields preferred
- Experience in fundraising  
- Adept public speaker
- Strong attention to details
- Good writing skills
- Team Player
- Comfortable being in a position which requires influencing  negotiating and facilitating dialogue with donors and partners
- Desire and ability to relate to grass-roots communities and program partners at all levels
- Fluency in written and spoken English; Vietnamese language skills helpful.
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PPT etc.
- Strong research skills
