Senior Manager

This is a Charitable Foundation which is founded for almost 20 years and which has supported over a hundred non-profit organizations over more than 100 countries to date. The Foundation’s wide range of services fall into three broad categories: care of young children, elderly in need, and education. Every years, the Foundation has donated hundred of million dollars to different organisations to provide primary health care and disease prevention programmes in the area of eye care, dental service and bone treatment to infants, children and pregnant women in poor rural areas.

The Foundation has recently been licenced to open its Country office in Vietnam. Its plan is to officially launch the country program in a special and public event in Hanoi within May 2010, with the presence of top-ranking Government officers, the Foundation’s founder and other well-reputed personnels. Its Country Office in Vietnam is therefore urgently looking for a senior manager to be one of the first key member of its new team in the country.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct guidance and leadership of the Vice-President cum Country Director, the Senior Manager will have primary responsibilities as follows:
- Operations: Overall in charge of day to day operations of the Country Office, including admin, logistics and human resources
- Relationship: Maintain relationships with the Government bodies, including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and PACCOM and ensures appropriate reporting to the relevant Government bodies. Maintains close working relationships with all major existing stakeholders in Vietnam, including NGOs, international and national corporate and business sectors;
- Fund raising: Implements a dynamic fundraising strategy in support of head office, to raise funds for its supported projects in Vietnam.
- Program Management: work with local partners to implement the Foundation’s funded projects
- Monitoring and Reporting: to manage the performance of its projects in line with Foundation requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE:
- The candidate must have a graduate degree in Economics, Social Sciences,  or in International Development Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Experience in development works, especially with newly set-up office is desirable.
- Experience in funded projects in health care sector or child care sector will be prioritized
- Experience in project implementation and management
- Willingness to devote for the living and health improvement of the poors

SKILLS:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) are required. Fluency in spoken and written English and Vietnamese is essential.
- Self-management and high ability for multi-task job
- Trustworthy
- Willingness to be base in HCMC with frequent travel to Hanoi and to project sites
