Senior Researcher; Junior Researchers

The Development and Policies Research Center (DEPOCEN) is an independent research center established since 2005. Since the establishment we have engaged in many social and economic research activities for both governmental and international organizations.
DEPOCEN is seeking qualified full – time Vietnamese for positions below:
01 Senior researcher
02 Junior Researchers

I. Senior Researcher:
1. Main responsibilities:
- Ensure effective implementation of activities of projects according to the work plan approved by Project Manager and partners.
- Promote and support target groups’ active participation in the project activities.
- Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation and reporting of activities including qualitative and quantitative data. Report to the project manager, and take necessary action.
- Contribute to program designing, proposal development and donor reports as required. Document the project outcomes on development of model on training quality.
- Preparing and writing reports
- Comply with all relevant DEPOCEN policies and procedures.
- Working under pressure

2. Selection Criteria:
- Master degree or advanced, preferably social - economic science, related field or/and management. 
- Writing skills is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative or qualitative research, especially skillful in survey and project procedure. 
- Ability to analyze data and supervise projects, experience and knowledge in data processing software is preferable.
- Good knowledge of social issues and interested in social development
- 7 - 10 years experience in project implementation in related issues
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision within a team. High team work spirit.
- Excellent English and Vietnamese written and oral communication skills. 
- Good communications and liaison skills. 
- Ability and willingness to travel. 

II. Junior Research:
1. Main responsibilities:  
- Contribute to program designing, proposal development and donor reports as required. Document the project outcomes on development of model on training quality.
- Preparing reports for senior researchers, Project Manager and partners.
- Assist with the preparation and monitoring of project budgets
- Coordinate the necessary procedures and logistical arrangements for importation of equipment
- Comply with all relevant DEPOCEN policies and procedures.
- Working under pressure
2. Selection Criteria:
- University degree, preferably social - economic science, related field or/and management. 
- At least one-year experience of development works.
- Knowledge quantitative or qualitative research, especially skillful in survey and project.
- Ability to analyze data and supervise projects, experience and knowledge in data processing software is preferable.
- Strong abilities in report writing and data handling
- Strong administrative and logistics skills
- Fluency of English and Vietnamese language skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Interesting in social – economic issues and needs of being trained.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This appointment is a one - year contract with possible extension.
Salary: depends on skills and experience
