Two Vietnam Firms Seeking Approval to Build $7.6M Waste Treatment Complex

Truong Thinh Mineral JSC and Ho Chi Minh City Sao Bien Environment Co., Ltd  are seeking approval from local authorities of the Khanh Hoa province in central Vietnam to build a domestic waste treatment complex in Nha Trang city. If approved, the facility with investment of VND144.43 billion ($7.6 million) will be located in Vinh Luong commune, the Dai Doan Ket newspaper reported. The facility will convert waste into microorganism fertilizers for agriculture production and plastic beads for construction. Vietnam will spend VND44 trillion on a project to treat solid waste in urban areas from now up to 2015, the Ministry of Construction said.
