U.S. NGO Grants $8.5M to Health Project in Vietnam Central Province

Atlantic Philanthropies (AP), a U.S. non-governmental organization, has granted $8.5 million to a health project in the Vietnam’s central province of Thua Thien-Hue, state media reported. The project costing $11.89 million is slated for completion in 2011, aiming to upgrade 152 commune healthcare facilities in the province. The AP had donated $252.7 million for education and health projects in Vietnam between 1998 and 2007.
