U.S. World Vision to Spend $17M to Implement Vietnam Projects This Year

World Vision, a U.S. non-governmental organization, will spend $17 million to carry out three projects to help flood victims and handicapped people in Vietnam this year, said Daniel Selvanayagam, its representative chief in Vietnam The projects aim to support victims of typhoon Ketsana and handicapped people in central Vietnam and to implement other development activities in the northern province of Hoa Binh, the Lao dong & Xa hoi newspaper reported. Founded in 1950, the organization has served the world's poorest children and families in nearly 100 countries worldwide.
