Vietinbank Grants $303,000 to the Poor in Vietnam Northern Province

Vietnam JS Bank for Industry and Trade or Vietinbank has granted VND5.6 billion ($303,000) to four poor districts in the northern province of Phu Tho. The money was used to build 200 houses and two schools in the districts, the Thoi Bao Kinh Te Viet Nam newspaper reported. This is part of the bank’s charitable program to help construct houses for the poor and schools in 14 provinces and cities across the country, said a bank official. VietinBank now is one of Vietnam’s leading commercial banks, posting an annual average capital growth rate of 20% and expanding its network to all 63 provinces and cities.
