Vietnam Authority Operates 13 Water Treatment Systems for Ethnic People

Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation of Vietnam’s southern province of Bac Lieu has operated 13 water treatment systems for more than 4,000 ethnic households since 2007.  These water stations have been built in Bac Lieu town, districts of Hong Dan, Phuoc Long, Hoa Binh and Vinh Loi, the Van hoa newspaper online reported June 4.  The center has also helped build 160 wells for 480 Khmer households. Total investments for construction of water treatment systems and wells were VND35 billion.  These are parts of the Program 134 (CT134) by the Government which is aimed to support production land, residential land, houses and water for the poor ethnic.
