Vietnam Builds 134,800 Houses for the Poor

The Ministry of Construction has said that during the implementation of Decision 167/2008/QD-TTg on supporting poor families for housing, as of February, Vietnamese provinces and cities had built 134,808 houses for the poor. The houses built accounted for 27% of the total houses that need to be built for poor families. Among them, 54,294 houses have been completed for poor families in 62 poor districts of the country, accounting for 70% of the plan. This year, 190,000 poor families are expected to receive housing support.
