Vietnam Capital City to Invest VND105B in Anti-drought Projects

Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi will invest VND105 billion in anti-drought projects for agricultural production next year, the Hanoi Moi newspaper reported Tuesday. Of the total, VND40 billion will be used to upgrade pump stations and improve water sources in the Nhue and Day rivers. Hanoi city will cultivate 129,000 hectares in 2010 winter crop, including 99,800 hectares of paddy and 29,200 hectares of other vegetables.
