Vietnam Central Province Starts Building $12.86M Pediatric Hospital

The health department of Vietnam’s central highlands province of Lam Dong began the construction of a pediatric hospital worth more than VND245 billion ($12.86 million) from g-bond June 29. Covering six hectares in Da Lat city, the 150-sickbed hospital will provide treatment for children aged less than 15 Lam Dong and neighboring localities once becoming operational in 2013, the Sai Gon Giai phong newspaper reported June 30. The hospital is expected to become the first of its kind in the central highlands region. Vietnam now has 13,600 state and private-owned hospitals with 172,500 sickbeds.
