Vietnam City Sends 1,400 Health Workers Abroad for Further Training

Ho Chi Minh City sent nearly 1,400 female health workers abroad for further training in the past five years, state media reported, citing the municipal health authorities. The figures were released at a conference to review the results of a program on the issue from 2005 to 2009. The city will spend VND600 billion ($31.4 million) to implement more than 100 health projects this year, down 50% from 2009.
