Vietnam Firms Start Building $4.36M General Hospital in HCM City

Luu Nguye Construction Co., Ltd and Saigon Ast Trading Service and Medical Equipment Co., Ltd, began the construction of a general hospital in Ho Chi Minh City July 1, with total investment of VND83 billion ($4.36 million). Located in Tan Phu district, the 150-sickbed is expected to meet the rising demand on medical check-ups and treatment of locals, the Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper reported July 2. The facility is slated for completion in next two years, the newspaper added. HCM City will spend VND600 billion to implement more than 100 health projects this year, down 50% from 2009.
