Vietnam Gives 166M Newspapers, Magazines to Ethnic Minorities So Far

Up to 166 million publications of 22 newspapers and magazines valued at VND263 billion in total have been granted to ethnic minority people across Vietnam between 2006 and 2009 with aims to help them raise awareness of Party, State policies and laws. The Committee for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas released the figures at a meeting to review three-year implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decision 975/QD-TTg. The committee also proposed adding five more kinds of publications for them soon.
