Vietnam Hanoi to Invest $25.25M to Build Water Supply Network

Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi authorities have approved a plan to spend VND466.55 billion ($25.25 million) to build a clean water supply network for Hoang Mai District, the Ha Noi Moi newspaper reported Jan. 22. Hanoi Water Limited Company will implement the project, which is part of the city’s plans to ensure clean water for a population of 6.3 million people. This year the city will upgrade clean water supply networks for Long Bien, Thanh Tri, Tu Liem, Dong Anh Districts and the western districts. The communist country has to date supplied clean water to 70% of its urban population with 90 liters per capita a day on average, the Ministry of Construction reported.
