Vietnam Holds Int’l Conference on Reproductive Health May 12-18

Ho Chi Minh City Society of Reproductive Medicine (HOSREM) and Tu Du Hospital held the 10th Vietnam-France-Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive Health (VFAPCRH) from May 12 to 18. As many as 1,600 domestic and foreign experts and doctors from France, U.K., Australia, Sweden, Singapore and South Korea attended the seven-day conference, the state-run Vietnam News Agency said. During the event, the participants presented 90 scientific reports on the latest techniques and researches in the obstetrics and gynecology. Firstly held in 2001, the VFAPCRH became a major medical event of Vietnam, contributing to boosting health cooperation with other countries as well as transferring advanced medical technologies to local hospitals and developing human resources in the country’s gynecology researching field. This year’s VFAPCRH is expected to provide an opportunity for local and foreign experts and doctors to exchange and update information on treatment to cases of multiple births, gynecological cancer and brain hemorrhage in newborns.
