Vietnam Hospital Starts Building $10.8M New Treatment Area

Hanoi-based National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology began December 29 to build a new treatment area that costs VND200 billion ($10.8 million). Deputy Director of the hospital Tran Quoc Viet said that 70% of the total investment came from bank loans and 30% from the state budget. The 13,500 sq.m area, which will have 500 sick-beds, is expected to be operational in 2011, aiming to improve treatment quality and reduce the overload of the hospital.  This is part of a project to upgrade the hospital that will be implemented by Delta Civil and Industrial Construction Company.
