Vietnam, Laos Firms Sign Deal to Build $5M Water Supply Plant

Mai Dong Water Company of Vietnam and Vientiane City Water Supply Company have signed a deal to construct a water supply plant that costs $5 million in Vientiane. The Vietnamese firm will contribute 80% of the total investment to the project, the state-run Vietnam News Agency said.  Director of Vientiane City Water Supply Company Daophet Buapha said the city is falling short of water. The company provides 160,000 cu.m of clean water a day, lower than the city’s demand of 200,000 cu.m.
