Vietnam Province Starts Building $1.1M Clean Water Supply Plant

Vietnam’s Mekong Delta province of An Giang has started building a clean water supply plant worth VND21 billion ($1.1 million) in Tinh Bien district, the Vietnam News Agency said April 2. Once operational in 2011, the plant with a daily capacity of 1,000 cu.m is expected to provide clean water for 3,000 locals in three mountainous communes of An Hao, Nui Voi and Tan Loi.  Vietnam targets to supply clean water for 85% of its population by the end of this year.
