Vietnam Spends VND 859.7B to Improve Training at Universities through 2015

Vietnam has spent VND859.7 billion ($46.5 million) to improve training quality at universities from now through 2015, state media reported Nov 27. The capital is mainly used to help universities to apply and develop advanced training programs, the Dau Tu newspaper reported Friday. Vietnam now has 369 universities and colleges. It targets to have one university placed among the world’s top 200 universities by 2020. The communist country plans to allocate VND648 billion ($39.5 million) from its budget for education and training sector this year, up 12.7% over the year 2008.
