Vietnam Upgrades 66,912 Schools over Two Years

Vietnam has improved 66,912 schools nationwide over the past two years, according to a report by the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on May 10. The country has also built and upgraded 20,463 communal houses for teachers during the period, the Cong An Nhan Dan newspaper reported, citing the MoET’s report. Vietnam will spend VND4.5 trillion ($236.8 million) from g-bonds this year to continue upgrading schools and houses for teachers through 2012.
