Vinacomin Funds VND15B for School Building in Dak Nong Province

The state-owned Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) has recently funded VND15 billion ($81,732) for a project to build a high school in the central highlands province of Dak Nong. The Quang Son high school, costing a total of VND21 billion, is under construction in Dak Glong district, Vinacomin said on its website later last week. This year, the group plans to produce and sell a combined 43 million tons of coal, including 18 million tons for exports, and to make a pretax profit of VND3.5 trillion on revenues of VND66 trillion. Last year, it produced 40.5 million tons of coal and sold 43.7 million tons of the fossil fuel to make a pretax profit of VND3.5 trillion on revenues of VND58.5 trillion, including VND35.9 trillion from coal production.
