The project “Biogas Program for the Animal Husbandry Sector in Vietnam 2007 - 2012” is a joint operation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – Department of Livestock Production / Vietnam and the Netherlands Development Organization-SNV/the Netherlands. The overall objective of the project is to improve the livelihood and quality of life of rural farmers in Vietnam through exploiting the economic and non-economic benefits of domestic biogas and to develop a commercially viable domestic biogas sector. To meet project expansion, the Biogas Project Division (BPD) now is seeking candidates for the following vacancy: 01 TECHNICAL STAFF
Technical Staff is responsible for coordinating and promoting the researching and developing activities in framework of the Program to be consistent with the objectives and outputs of the Program, assisting the Technical Unit’s works like construction acceptance, quality control and training task.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Researching, taking the initiative of strategic/breakthrough researching ideas to promote biogas sector to develop (new technology, new application, new market, new managing method, etc. to be consistent with the local condition);
- Collecting and synthesizing the information about the research related to the Biogas activities in other projects or organizations. Also on transferring knowledge of BPD to market, VBA and other organization for after BPD (>2012);
- The officer needs to work on how dissemination can be done in 2012 and beyond;
- Organizing to “defend”, collecting the comments of managing levels and relevant parties about the new researching ideas;
- Coordinating to implement researching programs;
- Joining in proposing, making comments, and recommendation the general management of the unit,

Qualifications:
- University graduated and over, technical major (physics, biology, environment, agriculture, etc);
- At least 4 year experiences in similar position;
- Experience in biogas technology for a Governmental agency and/ or private sector is an advantage;
- Personal quality: Professional competency ; Strategic thinking; Ability of organizing, coordinating and facilitating; Teamwork skills; Independent and having initiative; Result oriented M&E.
