FOUR PAWS Viet is a Vietnamese NGO founded in 2014. The operations in Vietnam are focused on but not limited to the building of a BEAR SANCTUARY in Ninh Binh Province. The BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh is currently under construction in its first phase and is planned to enlarge over the coming years. The BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh aims to rehabilitate bears from the bile industry as well as those confiscated from the illegal wildlife trade.

FOUR PAWS Viet is a partner of FOUR PAWS INTERNATIONAL an animal welfare organization with the Headquarter in Vienna, Austria, and has offices in 10 other countries. Founded in 1988, the organization strives for improvements in animal welfare through sustainable campaigns and projects.

FOUR PAWS Viet is searching for a positive thinking personality with great affinity to animal welfare as soon as possible:

Abstractor for Education and Communication for FOUR PAWS Viet (m/f)
Fulltime / BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh, close to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam

Main duties:

• Developing, correct implementation and successful coordination and management of an educational concept inside and outside the BEAR SANCTUARY with focus on animal and environment protection in Vietnam
• Responsible for developing educational exhibition elements for the BEAR SANCTUARY
• Coordination and performance of guided tours and events in BEAR SANCTUARY
• Preparation, implementation and evaluation of visitor surveys
• Training and managing volunteers and new team members in environmental education
• Supporting the development of a tourism strategy for the BEAR SANCTUARY
• Supporting the preparation of the annual work plan for the BEAR SANCTUARY
• Establishing networks and ensuring cooperation with schools and other institutions especially in line with the FOUR PAWS Viet Youth Engagement Program
• Applying for permission to conduct workshops in public schools
• Managing the FOUR PAWS Viet Education Board game production
• Maintain correspondence with students via social media
• Translating communication materials from Vietnamese into English and vice versa

Requirements

• Holding relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communication and education
• Vietnamese citizenship and experience in NGO work in Vietnam
• Computer literacy (MS Office requested)
• Very good written and spoken English
• High level of responsibility and personal drive
• Creative and strategic thinking person
• Willingness to travel
• Driving license
• Dedication and passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS values and issues
