We are looking for committed, result-driven candidate for the position of Admin Intern, Building a Multidimensional Biodiversity Index (MBI), based in Ha Noi, Viet Nam.

Major Functions:

This role requires an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented person who can manage multiple tasks. This individual is a team-player, willingness to learn and ready for support multi positions.

Interns will work under the supervision of the Technical Manager of the Vietnam MBI pilot to fulfill the following tasks:

  • Support management and administrative related tasks under the MBI project (including the logistics and organization of online and in-person meetings/workshops/events with project partners, reception of participants at workshops and project related events, preparation of agenda meetings, minute taking and other tasks as required);
  • Support the Technical Manager for the MBI on data collection, data management and data analyses for the project, stakeholder engagement and liaison with data holders and project partners;
  • Assist in the preparation of budget estimation for meetings, receiving and general screening invoices, receipts and the supporting documents of payments regarding project activities;
  • Assist in travel arrangement for project’s project staff, consultants and stakeholders (including permits for fieldwork);
  • Undertake duty travel to project sites if needed
  • Assist in communication activities related to the project (including social-media outlets in collaboration with the WWF Communication team, project briefings and so on);
  • Other tasks may be assigned as necessary according to the needs of Wildlife Practice team (if time allows and the line manager approves).

Requirements:

  • Active enrollment or recent completion of an advanced university programme in biology, geography, anthropology, social sciences, computer science or related fields (preferably at the MSc level) with specialized knowledge in the field of biodiversity conservation, environmental management, and sustainable development.
  • Interest on data analyses and willingness to learn independently and take initiative;
  • Experience with analytical and mapping tools such as QGIS, ArcMap, and R are highly desirable;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel;
