Administrative Assistant

Technical Assistance to Business Registration Reform in Vietnam" Project (BRR) is co-funded by the Swiss Government, the Norwegian Government and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The project aims to provide policy and technical advice towards the achievement of nationwide business registration reform. As a result, enterprises will be able to register for business, tax code, statistics and seals through a single-point, using a consolidated form and obtain a unique enterprise ID. National capacities, as well as capacities in 63 provinces, will be developed to simplify the legal framework, processes and procedures and to set up and operate the computerized National Business Registry System (NBRS). The project will contribute to achievement of Outcome 1 (Output 1.12, Expected Result 1.12.5) of One UN Plan 2006-2010".

They are currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Admin Assistant who will be responsible for:
1. Assist the NPD and CTA in preparing quarterly and annual project reports
2. Assist the Project Secretary in providing logistics for mission trips and other tasks
3. Assist in the preparation of training courses, seminars, workshops and other logistics as required.
4. Order office supplies in sufficient quantities and quality as per UNIDO procedures and manage the supplies in good order at all times.
5. Maintain the equipment inventory records, including a numbering system and tags on all equipment purchased, ensure that project property is secured and maintained in good condition at all times.
6. Provide interpretation services for project staff
7. Translate documents from Vietnamese to English and English to Vietnamese
8. Edit documents translated by external translators in English and in Vietnamese with respect to accuracy, style and format.
9. Carry out other tasks as assigned by the CTA and the NPD

Location: Hanoi and/or other provinces
Duration: 3 months initially with possibility to extend
Date required: As soon as possible

Qualification:
- University graduate, with diploma in Management Studies, Foreign Language Study or other related fields.
- Excellent written and oral English language skills. 
- Excellent written and oral Vietnamese language skills. 
- Computer Literate in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, Internet and Email.
- Relevant work experience and proven track record as demonstrated by good references may be an added advantage.
- Good communication, interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Candidates with experience in working in UN and MPI projects may have an added advantage.

Language requirement:    Vietnamese and English
