Advocacy Officer

Job Purpose Summary: 
Advocacy Officer will be expected to assist Program Manager in Designing, Planning and Implementing advocacy strategy and campaigns for SCDI.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1) Organize seminar/conferences, workshops and special lecture; Shall spend much of time in correspondence with stakeholders, press, media and invitees
2) Write and send press releases, write seminar reports, minutes of the meeting and undertake background research on the topics of seminars
3) Develop and maintain a communications with stakeholders and government, support the process to form network/partnership with various stakeholders, networks, donors, NGOs, private sector, research organisations and academic institutions….
4) Cooperation with others SCDI Program to implement the Advocacy activity as work plan
5) Any others job ore related task as determined by the Program Manager
Working time:  full time 8h/day (40h per week)

Reporting to: Communication Program Manager

Consults with:
Communication Program Manager
SCDI Board of Director

Qualifications:
- University or post-graduate training on communication, public relation, media, law, development, or management.
- Have at least 2 years of experience working with marginalized communities.
- Experience in management/leadership, network organization, team work, advocacy is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both writing and speaking, is a must.
- Experience in project management is a must.
- Knowledge on HIV and civil society is an asset.
- Willing to travel.
- Have ability to work under pressure and tight deadline.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Good organization skills.

- Good understanding about HIV in Vietnam
